The Xero Scrambler Trail Mid WP is one of the world’s lightest and most technical hiking boots and is designed to be used for anything from gentle day hikes to month-long thru-hikes. The waterproof and minimalist Scrambler Trail Mid WP incorporates a variety of foot-healthy design features, including a wide toe box to accommodate natural toe splay, a flat and flexible sole to encourage proper balance and enhance foot strength, and a low overall stack height to ensure stability and keep you connected with the ground below.
This durable and eye-catching hiking boot—which incorporates XeroTex waterproof technology—possesses mud-shedding lugs that perform well on a variety of surfaces and offer you extraordinary grip. The Xero Scrambler Trail Mid WP also includes a gusseted tongue, which helps keep water and debris out, while a 3 mm layer of TrailFoam embedded in the outsole offers you extra comfort and protection when navigating gnarly trails. Indeed, this do-it-all mountain boot is ready for adventure.
The Xero Scrambler Trail Mid WP is abrasion-resistant and incorporates a breathable ripstop upper with welded overlays, a two-layer toe cap, and a gaiter hook that you can use if the elements present a challenge. This versatile vegan boot offers you the perfect combination of lightness, flexibility, grip, protection, and comfort, and you can even use it as a trail “running shoe” if you wish. The Scrambler Trail Mid WP also works well in combination with , , or , and for synergistic foot health benefits. Each Xero Scrambler Trail Mid WP boot weighs about 12 oz.
Note: If you are new to using Xero footwear, we recommend that you , gradually building up your wear-time and giving your body the chance to adapt to the thinner soles and the increased workload on your feet.
To get the most out of your Xero Scrambler Trail Mid WP boots, the manufacturer recommends that you order your normal US shoe size. For example, if you normally wear a men's US size 11 shoe, consider ordering an 11 in the Xero Scrambler Trail Mid WP.
If you're on the fence about what size to order, consider ordering both sizes and then simply return the size that doesn't fit as well for a refund. If you have concerns about sizing, feel free to contact us or Xero customer service.
Sizing Tip #1: To create additional roominess within the boot, we suggest removing the included (optional) boot liner/insole; this action does not, in any way, affect the performance of the boot. Optionally, and to enhance balance, posture, agility, and general foot/body awareness, you might consider adding thin, flexible Naboso insoles instead.
Sizing Tip #2: Correct Toes toe spacers will often add width and length to the foot. If you’re planning to wear Correct Toes with your footwear, we recommend sizing up, especially if you are on the border between sizes.
